Two developments run parallel: firstly, the further deepening of color poetry, secondly, the selective attempts to find new picture solutions. In doing so, formal progress is not the criteria, rather the influence on the content, the “added poetic value”. The strong fixation on content, the concentration on color poetry determines the approach to picture decisions. There is no necessity for innovation. An evolution takes place. Pictures are created which were not imaginable in their formal solution 3 or 4 years ago. Conversely, solutions that appeared to be new 3 or 4 years ago are no longer an issue. These findings are observed in the course of time. At the moment of the picture decision these thoughts are not apparent. The attention is reserved wholly for the preparation of color, its selection and individual arrangement. In this year – more so than in previous years – decision-making is more picture-oriented than progress-oriented.
